Need a table decoration, want to use up old paper or even just a way to keep the kids busy for a while? Read on for some easy to do Origami projects.
What is Origami? Origami is the art of folding paper into recogniseable or functional forms. There are hundreds and hundreds of things you can fold paper into, so make sure you have enough paper on hand when attempting an Origami project.
The word origami comes from the Japanese words oru (folding), and kami (paper), and it was from Japan that this art form originated, many hundreds of years ago.
One of the most popular and well known origami designs is the crane.
Even though it is the most well-known, it is not the easiest design to make if you are a beginner. If you would like to fold some easier origami, see the attached images.
Make the origami ladybug out of red or yellow paper, and then draw some pretty spots on it afterwards.
You could also make it out of paper that has a spotty pattern on it if you like…
